RIP 9chat

Was great while it lasted. A really nice social app. Then they implemented this cookie system. An in-app currency used to send cookies to and receive from other members. They serve no purpose but to enable you to comment on popular posts. Once a post becomes popular, you need to use your cookie currency to comment. If you run out of cookies, too bad. You cannot comment on popular posts, unless you purchase cookies. The whole social aspect of the app has been thrown out the window and all focus has gone to making sure the cookie system is functional for profit. They even go ahead and change the app name to cookies. Was this their plan the whole time? A bait and switch scheme? You can honestly still get by and use the app without too much concern for cookies. BUT. Ever since the cookies came aboard, the app has slowly been losing functionality. You can no longer down vote a post, there are no time stamps to posts and comments, chat requests are limited, just to
name a few features that are key requirements to any social app. Rather charge us for the app than ruin it to try implement a system for profit. 5/5 before cookies. 2/5 for current version. 1 star cuz I can still use the app without cookies. Another cuz I still enjoy the socialism and 9chat community.
